I would subtitle this article with “If you do nothing else, eat your body weight in bread and olive oil.” Their olive oil is beautifully peppery and so delicious, so much so that even though I’m trying to keep keto I threw that out the window and had some bread. It was worth it.
Terralina, the latest addition to the Disney Springs location formerly known as Portobello, is a lovely Italian restaurant. With a long wine list filled with both Italian wines, New World, and Old World Wines, you will undoubtedly find a wine that suits your mood. Their wine steward, Olivier, is a French somm with a deep knowledge of wine so ask away if you need help navigating the wine list. I love Rhone varietals, so I did an Italian Grenache from Tuscany that was super drinkable and just the way I like it.
We ordered calamari and carpaccio as appetizers and both were perfect. The citrus aioli that went with the calamari was much better and brighter than your typical sauce accompaniments. We also ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, the spaghetti bolognese, the cheese pizza, and the crab linguine. Other than the crab, everything was wonderful. My crab pasta was a bit bland. Filled with garlic and capers, it had a brininess that was okay, but needed some spice (red pepper flakes? Chili oil?). But don’t let that color your perspective on the meal. The pasta itself was great and everyone else’s dishes were close to perfect. The desserts sounded delicious, but it’s hard to say yes to that when you have Ghirardelli across the way and a variety of other treats around every corner.
Our server was excellent (way to go Tiffany) and service was fast and attentive. This is another spot where if you want some elevated food, but you have picky eaters or kids that eat kid-food, where everyone can go and be pleasantly surprised with really great pizza and pasta in a cozy and warm atmosphere.
